Installation Instructions for Lighting

  • Always use a registered electrician when installing.
  • Check all plugs and joins are firmly connected before installation and test lighting is working. We test all lighting before sending, so please call us before hanging if the lights are not working.
  • Take care when installing that you do not pull on the cords or place any sharp or heavy objects on the cords.
  • Please fasten the cords to the wall with clips to avoid loosening the connection by pulling or tripping on cords.

Installation Instructions for Hanging Pieces

  • We recommend that you use a professional handyman or builder to advise and install.
  • We recommend that you use the top and bottom hanging brackets we supply. Please consider the weight of your piece when hanging. Also please consider the conditions of the area, as your artwork may need to be secured for windy conditions.
  • Flat screens generally have 50mm or 100mm wall-mounted feet to attach.
  • Dynabolting holes can be drilled into tabs to secure if necessary. Further options are available upon request.
  • We do not do installations. We can work with your builder to find fittings or materials that will suit their installation requirements.

Installation Instructions for Sculptures

  • We recommend that you use a professional handyman or builder to advise and install.
  • All sculptures should be bolted to plinths and concreted in, with no water pooling around the base.
  • We do not do installations. We can work with your builder to find fittings or materials that will suit their installation requirements.

Care Instructions for Rust Finishes

  • Each rust product has its own unique character and natural finish. Colour variations are an intentional part of many designs and, being an organic process, cannot be fully controlled. Exposure to the elements and environment will cause colour changes and a continuation of the rusting process. To slow this down, we recommend a small degree of maintenance. This involves a spray-on coat of Penetrol when needed. This can be purchased from any hardware store. Please read and follow the manufacturer's instructions carefully. Please note that harsh weather conditions may cause running. Because rusting may be an intended feature of a selected design, we expressly disclaim all responsibility for damage that may arise as a result of rust development.

Penetrol

  • Each product has its own unique character and natural finish. Colour variations are an intentional part of many designs and, being an organic process, cannot be fully controlled. Exposure to the elements and environment will cause colour changes and a continuation of the rusting process. If this is not desired, we recommend a small degree of maintenance. This involves a six-monthly spray-on coat of Penetrol which can be purchased from any hardware store. Please read and follow the manufacturer's instructions carefully. Please note that harsh weather conditions may cause running. A re-application should take place at least every six months. However, in areas where pollutants are more prevalent, especially in coastal or industrial regions, a cleaning program should be carried out on a more frequent basis to keep the entire surface clean of salt and other deposits.

Care Instructions for Powder Coated Surfaces

  • The effects of ultra violet light, pollution, dirt, grime and salt deposits can all accumulate on your powder coated surface over time. A very simple regular maintenance program should be implemented to ensure the removal of any residues and extend the effective life of your powder coatings. As a general rule, cleaning should take place every six months. However, in areas where pollutants are more prevalent, especially in coastal or industrial regions, a cleaning program should be carried out on a more frequent basis to keep the entire surface clean of salt and other deposits. To clean your powder coated surface:
  1. Carefully remove any loose deposits with a wet sponge.
  2. Use a soft, non-abrasive brush or cloth, and a mild household detergent solution to remove dust, salt and other deposits.
  3. Rinse off with clean fresh water.
  • Detergents that recommend the use of gloves when handling should be avoided as this is a good indication that the detergent is harsh and, therefore, unsuitable for cleaning your powder coating. Although some strong solvents are recommended for removing sealants or other building residues, these may be harmful to the extended life of the powder coated surface and should also be avoided, as damage may not be visible immediately and may take up to twelve months to appear. If paint splashes, sealants or other residue need to be removed, then either Methylated Spirits, Turpentine, or White Spirits may be used safely.

Care Instructions for Stainless Steel Finishes

  • Stainless steel finishes are easily cleaned by many different methods. They actually thrive with frequent cleaning, and, unlike some other materials, it is impossible to "wear out" stainless steel by excessive cleaning. The effect of surface/pattern roughness, grain/pattern orientation, and designs that allow for maximum rain cleaning (exterior applications) should be considered. "Clean Water and Wipe"; the simplest, safest, and least costly method that will adequately do the job is always the best method. Stainless surfaces thrive with frequent cleaning because there is no surface coating to wear off stainless steels. A soft cloth and clean warm water should always be the first choice for mild stains and loose dirt and soils. A final rinse with clean water and a dry wipe will complete the process and eliminate the occurrence of water stains.

Care Instructions for Sculptures and Plinths

  • When selecting a sculpture design, such factors as the sculpture material, the placement of the piece and the desirability of weathering or other organic processes should all be carefully considered. More specific instructions can be provided for each unique piece. All sculptures should be bolted to plinths and concreted in, with no water pooling around the base. We recommend that you use a professional handyman or builder to advise and install. We do not do installations. We can work with your builder to find fittings or materials that will suit their installation requirements.

Timber Care Instructions

  • All of our hardwood products are treated with a number of coats of oil. The treatment provides additional protection from the elements, and gives a deeper natural colour to the timber.
  • The maintenance of your new hardwood timber product is minimal. We recommend a light sand and re-oil using a clear decking oil containing a UV guard. Depending on how exposed the furniture is to the weather, this may be required every six months to two years. Please follow the instructions on the decking oil packaging, to produce the correct and best results for your hardwood.

Australian Blackbutt

  • The timber is harvested using sustainable management practices that comply with Australian Forestry Standards. Australian Forestry Standards recognises the world's best practice.
  • Australian Blackbutt is classified as a Class 1 durability timber (the highest rating possible) and is termite resistant. It is a hardwood and well-suited to harsh outdoor environments. Being kiln-dried, it also has a very low shrinkage factor, ensuring the furniture is very stable.
Sensitive Delivery Service
