Bright colours, rustic appearance or raw.

Your artwork can be matched to popular colours such as Mannex Black, Monument, Surfmist and Jasper from the Interpon and Dulux Colour powder coat ranges. Ask our consultants for the availability of your colour choice.

Note: If you select a colour that is not part of our stocked range, additional costs may be applied.

Powder coating enables you to complement or contrast your metal product sculpture with its surrounds while minimising maintenance. When manufactured correctly, a powder-coated finish inhibits rust and provides long life to your metal screen, gate, door or sculpture.

Powder coating must be applied by a Dulux Accredited Powder Coater to ensure the quality and longevity of your piece. We will only powder coat over aluminium and we chromate the surface to deliver the best possible corrosion protection. Please refer to our care instructions and advise us if you live in a coastal area.

Before speaking with us, here's a quick introduction to some of our most popular finish options:

Rustic

(Also known as Corten). Popular for use on laser cut screens and garden sculptures. Corten finish looks like rust, but is actually a protective coating. Corten develops with age, is corrosion resistant and is very long lasting.

Mannex Black

Designed to cleverly hide surface defects, whilst providing interesting tactile surfaces. Dulux Surreal Effects Mannex Black turns any piece into a striking, bold and contemporary garden feature. Suitable for application over steel and aluminium.

Surfmist®

Surfmist® embodies qualities of freshness and purity. Snow, the mist from the sea and surf, pure white sand, and the billowing sails of yachts all remind us of this colour.

Sablé™ CoreTen

This single coat finish mimics the textured and rustic finish created by the natural oxidation of metal, however without the continued weathering.

Material Options

Which material is best for your creation?

Stainless Steel

There are two grades to choose from #316 marine grade or #304. If your laser cut screens or metal works are to be positioned outside, we suggest #316 and additional pickled process to avoid surface rust

Aluminium

Corrosion resistant and light weight. Aluminium can be Powder Coated in a range of colours, anodised or left in a raw state. If left in the raw, it will dull with age. The dull surface becomes a protective layer to help prevent further corrosion. If Powder Coating, there are a number of precautions that must be included in the design and manufacturer process. To find out more about these, please contact us.

Mild Steel

Rust finish is for outdoor display, we rust it to a point it looks good then we seal it . The seal need to be maintained to avoid further rusting. Rust has its own character and texture. Although the colour variations are an intentional part of many designs and being an organic process, it can not be fully controlled.

Weathering Steel (Corten)

Popular for use on laser cut screens and garden sculptures. Corten finish looks like rust, but is actually a protective coating. Corten develops with age, is corrosion resistant and is very long lasting.

Supporting bases (GRC)

We have a range of plinths made from glass reinforced concrete (GRC), as well as a range of CRC sculpture pieces. Ask in store for options.
Sensitive Delivery Service
